Anti-Parietal Cell is an ELISA test system for the quantitative measurement of IgG class autoantibodies against the alpha- and beta-subunits of the parietal cell H+/K+-ATPase in human serum or plasma. This product is intended for professional in vitro diagnostic use only. Circulating autoantibodies towards gastric parietal cells have been detected in patients with pernicious anaemia, the most common cause of vitamin B12 deficiency in Western populations. Detection of these antibodies is a useful tool in the differential diagnosis of pernicious anaemia.
