INTENDED PURPOSE
Autoantibodies against Lactoferrin belong to the anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA). They occur in higher frequency in patients with rheumatoid vasculitis, ulcerative colitis and primary sclerosing cholangitis. Together with other clinical and laboratory findings they contribute to the differentiation of ANCA-associated vasculitis from vasculitis related to other diseases.
